a retired lecturer at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) who has lived in Lewis for over 35 years.


THE TOUR
BESPOKE FREE WALKING TOUR
IN STORNOWAY, ISLE OF LEWIS
Stornoway is the main town of the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
The tour is normally between 2-3 hours long and can be tailored to your own interests.
We take an informal look at the Stornoway's history, events that have shaped the town as it appears today, a few notable local characters and some local stories.
A visit to the Museum and Lews Castle (both free) is also included in the tour.

Tours normally take a minimum of 2 hours,
with an optional additional 1 hour if you'd like to explore Stornoway Castle Grounds
THE ROUTE
The distance covered is about 2 miles (3km) easy walking through the streets of Stornoway.
Tours are personalised so longer routes can be taken by arrangement.

There is no charge for the tour, however, we adopt a Tips-for-Tours policy which allows clients to support and reward as they see fit. This ensures that tours are of the highest quality and fit within the client's expectations and within their budget.
